Jen Derham Dip. NLC IHS, mFNTP UKICHA

Hey there, I'm Jen. Postpartum doula,  non diet nutrition & lifestyle coach, mama of three—and someone who knows what it feels like to come undone in the early days of motherhood.

I live in East Meath with my family and feel most at home when I’m baking, out in nature, or getting lost in a good book. I love music (especially anything 90s),  getting creative, and trying to find joy in the little things—even on the hard days. But the heart of what I do is this: I support women through one of the most powerful and vulnerable transitions of their lives.

When I first trained in nutrition, I thought I was going to help women lose weight. That’s what we’re told health means, right?

But the more I learned, the more uncomfortable I became. Diets weren’t helping—they were hurting. I saw the emotional damage they caused, especially for women during pregnancy and postpartum. So I dug deeper.

I trained in non-diet approaches with Laura Thomas PhD, studied counselling skills, body image resilience, menstrual cycle awareness, and mindfulness. I qualified as a postpartum doula and started piecing together something that felt much more real: support that centers the mother, not just the baby.

My Why

I became a mother at 19. I’ve done the early days with zero support and too much self-blame.
I’ve lived through the pressure to bounce back.
I know what it’s like to feel invisible.

And I also know the power of being seen.
That’s why I created Mindful Wellness—so no woman has to do this alone.

Whether you’re deep in the fog, planning ahead, or trying to find your way back to yourself, I’m here.
No pressure. No judgment. Just calm, steady support—one conversation at a time.
